Mr. Lou Holcomb, 66, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, February 18, 2016 at a local hospital in Meridian. He was born Tuesday, August 30, 1949 in Laurel to Willard and Louis Holcomb, Sr. He graduated from University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science. Lou then worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Mississippi Department of Corrections and Global Marine Drilling before serving for many years until his retirement as Owner/Operator of Holcomb Monument Company. He was a member of Waynesboro First United Methodist Church and was an avid golfer. Lou is preceded in death by his father, Louis Holcomb, Sr. and brother, Willard "Woody" Holcomb. He is survived by his mother, Willard Freeman Holcomb of Waynesboro; sister, Cheryl Holcomb Holley (Larry P.) of Foley, AL; nieces, Sheila Jordan of Atlanta, GA and Jessica Jordan of Myrtle Beach, SC. Visitation for Mr. Holcomb will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Curtis Cain officiating. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery. Pallbearers are John Frank Clark, Donnie Pat Thornton, Mike Bonner, Frank Johnston, Harrell Freeman, Chris Pitts, Hilton Walker.
