Mr. Elroy Kelley, 83, a native of Wayne County and resident of Richton, died Friday, June 29, 2012 at his residence. He was a member of Avera Church of God; served in US Army and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict; was a member of The Chosen Few; and was a Carpenter. Mr. Kelley is preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Ina Myrtle Kelley. He is survived by his wife, Birdie E. Kelley of Richton; 2 daughters, Cynthia Finnell (Donald) of Richton and Mary Mrozik (Donald) of Crest Hill, IL; son, Denny Roy Kelley of Grand Bay, AL; 2 step-sons, Jerry Walley (Frances) of Lucedale and Jarrell Walley (Sundra) of Avera; sister, Minna V. McKenzie of Foley, AL; 17 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Kelley will be held from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 1, 2012 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 02, 2012 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery.
