Tommy Eugene Roberts, Sr.

Mr. Tommy Eugene Roberts, Sr., 70, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Wayne General Hospital. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, December 9, 1950 to E. S. "Prince" Roberts, Jr. and Margie Overstreet Roberts. He was a devoted member of West Shady Grove Baptist Church where he taught Adult Sunday School for many years. He served in the United States Army Reserve. Mr. Tommy retired as Drilling Consultant after 43 years in the Oilfield. He was a proud member of H. S. Stansel Masonic Lodge #603 where he currently was serving as Worshipful Master. He served Wayne County as Beat Four Supervisor for four years, 2016-2020.

Mr. Tommy is preceded in death by his father, E. S. "Prince" Roberts, Jr.; mother, Margie Overstreet Roberts; two brothers,  Bobby Joe Roberts, Johnny Ray Roberts; nephew, Jerry Robin. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Judy Roberts, Waynesboro, MS; two sons, Anthony Prince Roberts (Ashley), Madison, MS, Tommy Eugene Roberts, Jr. (Rebekah), Milton, FL; three sisters, Mary Anne Smith, Lake Martin, AL, Cathy Robin, Waynesboro, MS, Robbie Pitts, Waynesboro, MS; four grandchildren, Anna Claire Pipes, Addison Lynn Pipes, both of Madison, MS, Claire Elizabeth Roberts, Tommy Eugene "Trey" Roberts, III , both of Milton, FL.

Visitation for Mr. Tommy will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at West Shady Grove Baptist Church, 32 West Shady Grove Church Road, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at West Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Interment will be in West Shady Grove Cemetery. Masks and Social Distancing are required.  Pallbearers are Randy Beard, Ben Miley, Bill Miley, Jeff Miley, Russell Pitts and Josh Pitts.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideons International, or, Shriner's Hospital for Children.
