Tommie Elaine Beasley Obituary

Mrs. Tommie Elaine Jackson Beasley, 96, was born in Waxahachie, Texas April 13, 1922 and died November 11, 2018 (Veterans Day) at the William F. Greene Veterans Home in Bay Minette, Alabama. Shortly after graduating High School, she started her independent life by joining the Navy and serving during World War II. During her military service, she met and married Mr. William J. "Dub" Beasley. They were married for 67 years and were residents of the Winchester Community.

Mrs. Beasley was preceded in death by her husband, Dub Beasley, and her son-in-law, Ray M. “Tony” Blackerby. She is survived by two daughters Jeanie Johnson (Kyle) of Tuscaloosa, AL and Cora Blackerby of Mobile, AL; two sons William J. “Sonny” Beasley (Bonnie) of Chunchula, AL and Terry Beasley (Charlotte) of Spanish Fort, AL; five grandchildren, Jeff Beasley, Tara Beasley and Kara Anderson (Craig), Mark (Brandi) Beasley and Brooke (Brad) Holmes; five great grandchildren, Braedyn and Baylor Anderson, Gracie and Jaxson Beasley, and Brynlee Holmes.

Visitation for Mrs. Beasley will be Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 10-11:30 a.m, in the parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, MS followed by a graveside service at the Winchester Cemetery in Winchester, MS.
