Sam Sullivan, Jr.

Mr. Sam Sullivan, Jr., 78, of Millry, AL passed from this life Friday, February 5, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Millry, AL on Monday, April 20, 1942 to Sam Sullivan, Sr. and Myrtie Hataway Sullivan. He worked in maintenance at Ciba-Geigy Corporation. After retirement he worked alongside his wife on the family farm taking care of their chickens houses and raising cows. He enjoyed being outdoors - hunting, fishing and all sports. Most of all he loved spoiling his great grandchildren with adventures on the farm and riding his cart. Mr. Sullivan is preceded in death by his parents, Sam Sullivan, Sr. and Myrtie Sullivan; son, Travis Sullivan. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patsy Sullivan, Millry, AL; son, Ricky Sullivan (Tina), Millry, AL; brother, Rev. I. D. Sullivan, Millry, AL; four sisters, Regina Odom, Lou Emma Beasley, Janell Kirkland all of Millry, AL, Diane Purvis, Cumming, GA; three grandsons, Stanton Sullivan, Slade Sullivan (Amber), Seth Sullivan (Lexi) all of Millry, AL; three great grandchildren, Vegas Sullivan, Case Sullivan, Ava Sullivan. Graveside Services for Mr. Sullivan will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Guy Cemetery in Millry, AL with Rev. Ray Odom officiating. Interment will be in Guy Cemetery in Millry, AL.
