Mr. Paul Clinton Smith, Sr., 73, of State Line, MS passed from this life Sunday, July 7, 2019 in Leakesville, MS. He was born in State Line on Saturday, March 9, 1946 to Walter Smith and Maggie Jane Pritchett Smith. He was a member of New Haven Missionary Baptist Church; he served in the MS National Guard for 6 years. He was a Truck Driver. Mr. Paul is preceded in death by his father, Walter Smith; mother, Maggie Smith; 3 brothers, Mark Chester "M.C." Smith, George Smith, Daniel Lee Smith; 2 sisters, Alice Simpson, Dorothy Trimble. He is survived by his wife, Mary Smith, State Line, MS; 2 sons, Paul C. Smith , Jr. (Jananda), Huntsville, TX, Jason L. Smith (Melani), Lucedale, MS; 2 daughters, Jessica D. Tompkins (Bo), Troy, AL, Stephanie Easterling (Richard), Richton, MS; 2 step-daughters, Darlene Gibson (Randy), Gilbertown, AL, Charlotte Dunn, State Line, MS; 2 brothers, Raymond Smith (Sue), Chatom, AL, Walter Smith (Sally), Semmes, AL; 3 sisters, Louise Loper, Chatom, AL, Betty Jane Whatley, State Line, MS, Bernice Hagan, State Line, MS; 2 grandchildren, Olivia Foxworth, Noel Smith; 14 Step Grandchildren and 12 Step Great Grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Paul will be held from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday, July 8, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church, 3160 Nathan Jordan Road, Millry, AL with Rev. Mark Ferguson and Rev. James Saucier, Jr. officiating. There will be a 1 Hour Lie-In-State Tuesday at the church prior to the Funeral. Interment will follow in New Haven Church Cemetery.
