Mildred Ann (Knue) Spooner

Mrs. Mildred Ann Spooner, 74, of Leakesville, MS passed from this life Friday, April 26, 2019 at Leakesville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Leakesville, MS. She was born in Lumberton, MS on Friday, June 16, 1944 to Joseph Knue and Dorothy Knue. She worked as a self-employed certified nursing assistant in private health care. Mrs. Spooner is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Edward Spooner; father, Joseph Knue; mother, Dorothy Knue; 4 sisters, Mary Catherine Jones, Josie Gagnon, Irene Mitchell, Vera Jones. She is survived by her son, Joseph Spooner; daughter, Teresa Busby (Jeff); ex-husband, Larry A. Mitchell; 2 step sons, Hershell Spooner, Clifton Spooner; 2 step daughters, Amanda Nichols, Candy Spooner; sister, Marion Hale; special friend, Cathy Turner; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Spooner will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Bro. Hershell Spooner and Bro. Nick Spooner officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
