Martha Gardner

Mrs. Martha Gardner, 91, of State Line, MS passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro on Thursday, April 18, 1929 to Tillman Bailey and Josephine Bailey. She was a member of Eret Baptist Church. Mrs. Martha enjoyed her plants and gardening; she especially loved cooking for and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mose Gardner; father, Tillman Bailey and mother, Josephine Bailey; son, Baby Boy Gardner; 3 daughters, Delores Gardner, Early Mae Letchworth, Karen Hovatter; 2 Sons-In-Law, Bill Hovatter, Wayne Gardner; 1 Grandchild, 1 Great Grandchild; 3 Brothers and 3 Sisters. Mrs. Martha is survived by 3 sons, Lenn Gardner (Shelia), Glen Gardner, Mose Gardner, Jr., all of State Line, MS; 3 daughters, Cathy Gardner, Buckatunna, MS, Susie Hagan (Vernon), State Line, MS, Martha Kay Goff (Fairron), State Line, MS; 2 sons-in-law, Roger Gardner and Bobby Letchworth, both of State Line, MS; sister, Irene Nicholson, Jacksonville, FL; 18 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Martha will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Eret Baptist Church, FF Clark Drive, State Line, MS. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at Eret Baptist Church with Rev. Glenn Bynum officiating. Interment will be in Bailey Gardner Cemetery in State Line, MS.
