She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Wednesday, May 29, 1935 to William "Bill" Burgess and Mary Langley Burgess. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Waynesboro. Mrs. Street is preceded in death by husband, Howard C. Street, I; father, William "Bill" Burgess; mother, Mary Langley Burgess; 5 brothers; 4 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Hair (Lynn), Waynesboro, MS; 6 sons, Tommy Powell (Shelby), Summerville, AL, Joe Powell (Cathy), Eagle Point, OR, James Street (Karen), Shubuta, MS, Hal Street (Ruby), Magee, MS, Len Street (Tracy), Waynesboro, MS, Neal Street (Amanda), Shubuta, MS; step son, Lewis Street (Lynda), Jackson, MS; brother, Donnie Burgess, Strengthford, MS; 3 sisters, Marilyn Shoemaker, Clara, MS, Zelphia Edison, Shubuta, MS, Billie Sue Patterson, Shubuta, MS; special friend, Shirley Yates, Waynesboro, MS; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Street will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Rickey Williams and Rev. Dewayne Lofton officiating. Interment will be in Arrington Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
