Linda Faye Powell

Mrs. Linda Faye Powell, 77, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, March 21, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Jackson, AL on Tuesday, April 6, 1943 to Robert Gavin Etheridge and Annie Mae Etheridge. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  She had worked as a Clerk at  the Department of Human Services. Mrs. Linda is preceded in death by husband, Vaudy Wayne Powell; father, Robert Gavin Etheridge; mother, Annie Mae Etheridge; brother, Robert Etheridge; sister, Evelyn Underwood. She is survived by her son, Rickey Powell (Mechelle), Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Tracy West (Derric), Clara, MS; brother, Johnny Etheridge, Jackson, AL; sister, Hazel Bates, TX; three grandchildren, Abbie Powell, Austin West, Daxton West. Visitation for Mrs. Linda will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, March 26, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 26, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens. Pallbearers are Chris Odom, Chris Boone, Greg Kelley, Scott Cooley, John Williams, Jay Hutto.
