Judy Royals McInnis

Mrs. Judy Royals McInnis, 73, of Ocean Springs, MS passed from this life Monday, September 2, 2019 at Lighthouse Assisted Living in Ocean Springs, MS. She was born in Pineville, MS on Saturday, December 15, 1945 to D. Leon Royals and Christine Royals. She was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church. She worked in the Educational Field for 43 years- State of Mississippi for 28 years and State of Alabama for 15 years. She was a God-fearing, piano-playing, ice cream-loving, and Alabama Football-watching woman. Mrs. McInnis is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Harold McInnis; father, D. Leon Royals; mother, Christine Royals; grandchild,  Brittany Gates. She is survived by 3 daughters, Angelia Gates (Jim), Bay St. Louis, MS, Jewel Gates, Mobile, AL, Tracy Kelley, Wichita, KS; 5 sisters, Brenda Gipson, Catherine Jones, Deborah Norton, all of Lumberton, MS, Beverly Parker, Saraland, AL, Christy Royals, Biloxi, MS; 5 grandchildren, Mason Hopkins, Jami Cox, Timothy Cox, Justin Gates, Jade Gates; 2 great grandchildren, Avery Cox, Aiden Cox. Visitation for Mrs. McInnis will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald O'Dom officiating. Interment will be in Leaf River Baptist Church Cemetery in Louin, MS.
