Mr. Jimmie Edward Williams, 77, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was born in Charlotte, NC on Sunday, January 26, 1941 to the late B C Williams and Tiny Belle Williams. Mr. Williams served in the United States Coast Guard and retired as a Master Chief Yeoman. After retiring he worked 4 years as a security officer at Wayne County High School where he was known as "Robo-Cop". He worked 2 years as a Postal Clerk. He was a member of Chapparal Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, June Williams, Waynesboro, MS; son, Perry Williams (Missy), Artesia, NM; 2 daughters, Gina Courson (Jerry), Palmer, AK, Kimi Barr (Slater), Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Joe Williams (Carolyn), Houston, TX; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Williams will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Joe Williams and Rev. Danny Bullock officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
