Mr. James Floyd Ganus, 67, of Chatom, AL passed from this life Sunday, October 24, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, May 6, 1954, to Floyd and Lucy Ganus. He was a member of Chatom Church of God. He was retired as a chemical operator at Ciba-Geigy Corporation. Mr. Ganus is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Ganus; mother, Lucy Ganus; two sisters, Barbara Mills and Sarah Wheat. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Glenda Ganus, C.R.N.P. of Chatom, AL; son, Mark Ganus (Mary Ruth) of Birmingham, AL; brother, Karry Ganus (Teresa) of Millry, AL; four sisters, Evelyn Sullivan (Carlton) of Chatom, AL, Sylvia Brown (Homer), Vivian Lloyd (Rev. Darrell) both of Waynesboro, MS, Gail Hester (Wayne) of Millry, AL; two granddaughters, Mary Andrews Ganus and Mamie Wynn Ganus both of Birmingham, AL; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Ganus will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. John Brown and Rev. Darrell Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in North Oak Grove Cemetery in Washington County, AL.
