Mr. Gerald Wayne Whigham, 76, of Millry, AL passed from this life Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Gilbertown, AL on Friday, September 8, 1944 to Eugene Debbs Whigham and Vella Adaline Whigham. He had worked as a Millwright. Mr. Whigham is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Debbs Whigham; mother, Vella Adaline Whigham; four brothers, Eugene Debbs Whigham, Jr., William Roy “Pete” Whigham, Johnny Earl Whigham, Bennie Ray Whigham; sister, DeLoris Singley. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Whigham, Millry, AL; four sons, Tommy Wayne Whigham, Millry, AL, Terry Wayne Whigham (Robbye), Jerry Wayne Whigham, Billy Wayne Whigham, all of Quitman, MS; one daughter, Cathy-Anne Whigham, New Orleans, LA; four step daughters, Charlotte Hooper, Robin Smith, both of Millry, AL, Rachel Gibson, Silas, AL, Jureleen Carpenter, Millry, AL; two brothers, Roland E. Whigham (Frances), Syracuse, NY, Wyman F. Whigham (Diane), Aquilla, AL; six sisters, Doris Whigham Baughman, Butler, AL, Voncile Toomey Ellis, Saraland, AL, Lucille Waite (James), Silas, AL, Barbara Ann Becton, Red Creek, AL, Carolyn Chapman, Millry, AL, Sandra Strickland (Otis), Satsuma, AL; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; Davy Chapman; beloved uncle to many. A Graveside Memorial Service for Mr. Whigham will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Springbank Cemetery in Silas, AL with Rev. Ray Odom officiating.
