Mr. Douglas Terry Welford, 73, of Hattiesburg, MS passed from this life Monday, May 11, 2020 at Forrest General Hospital. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, January 23, 1947 to Joe E. Welford and Annie B. Welford. He was a member of May Bank Baptist Church.  Mr. Welford was a Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He worked as a Unit Supply Specialist for the United States Army for over 27 years. Mr. Welford is preceded in death by his father, Joe E. Welford; mother, Annie B. Welford. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Mae Welford, Hattiesburg, MS; 2 sons, Terry Glenn Welford, Prince George, VA, Kristopher Burke Welford, Hattiesburg, MS; daughter, Angela Benge, Hattiesburg, MS; 3 brothers, Ronnie Joe Welford, Michael Edward Welford, David Neil Welford, all of Waynesboro, MS; sister, Anne Rene' Foster, Hattiesburg, MS, 5 grandchildren, Chelsea Paige Welford, Dylan Mason Welford, Dakota Michael Welford, Braxton Zane Welford, Ryleigh Cheyenne Benge. Visitation for Mr. Welford will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Graveside Services for Mr. Welford will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Bro. Jon David Kittrell officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery.
