Don W. Goines

Mr. Don W. Goines, 79, of Laurel, MS passed from this life Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. He was born in Webster County, MS on Saturday, March 26, 1938 to Richard Goines and Myrtis Goines. Mr. Goines served in the United States Air Force and retired as a Truck Driver. He was a member of West Shady Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner of Hamasa Temple in Meridian, MS. Mr. Goines is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Myrtis Goines. He is survived by his wife, Fay Goines of Laurel, MS; son, Rodney D. Goines (Mackie) of Philadelphia, MS; daughter, Donna Michelle Myers (Travis) of Noxapater, MS; 2 sisters, Reba Mitchell (Waldo) of Dekalb, MS, Betty Gray of Philadelphia, MS; 4 grandchildren, Memory Goines, Dylan Goines, Hunter Myers, Trevor Myers; 3 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Goines will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 5, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Smith and Rev. Mike Street officiating. Interment will be in West Shady Grove Cemetery.
