Dion McLain

     Mr. Dion McLain, 76, of the Strengthford Community, MS passed from this life Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Wayne General Hospital. He was born in Wayne County, MS on Saturday, February 19, 1944 to Ellis McLain and Clyde Overstreet McLain. He was retired from G. B. "Boots" Smith in Laurel as a Tractor Operator. 
     Dion is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Clyde McLain; step-mother, Louise McLain; four brothers, Herbert McLain, John McLain, E. L. "Toby" McLain, Bud McLain; five sisters, Earline "Sally" Whitehead, Joan McLain, Gennieve Taylor, Bonnie McLain, Lynette Craven. 
     He is survived by his wife of 53 Years, Lois McLain, Strengthford, MS; two sons, Richard McLain (Christa), Shad McLain, both of Strengthford, MS; two grandchildren, Maygen Andrews, Tucker McLain (Katelyn), both of Strengthford, MS; 5 great-granddaughters, K. K., Kyndal, Sayge, Blayke, Landri; Special Niece and Nephew, Carol and Louis Waller; three brothers, Jimmy McLain, Walkersville, MD, Harold McLain, Lonnie McLain, both of Strenghthford, MS; four sisters, Sarah "Tennie" Hendry, Anne Freeman, Yvonne Smith, Katie Cochran,  all of Strengthford, MS.
     Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Boyles Chapel Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Aaron Cooley and Rev. Bart Whitehead officiating. Music will be provided by Brian Dew. 
     Pallbearers are Louis Waller, Brian McLain, Keith Smith, John Ellis McLain, Trenton Freeman, Jeremy Chapman.
