Mrs. Christine E. "Sally" McCarty, 79, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Hattiesburg, MS on Wednesday, July 12, 1939 to P. S. Garner, Sr. and Dicey Ida Garner. She was a member of Little Rock Assembly of God Church. She was retired as a USDA Inspector at Wayne Farms. Mrs. McCarty is preceded in death by her mother, Dicey Ida Garner; father, P. S. Garner, Sr.; daughter, Libby Haskew; sister, Lillian Strickland; grandchild, Charles Giles. She is survived by her husband, Floyd McCarty, Waynesboro, MS; 3 sons, Richard Revette (Judy), Buckatunna, MS, Michael Revette, Waynesboro, MS, Jeffery Revette (Dawn), Petal, MS; 2 daughters, Clementine Williams (Maxie), Waynesboro, MS, Sherry Revette, Leakesville, MS; 2 step daughters, Debbie Freeman, Richton, MS, Ann Pitts, Waynesboro, MS; 3 brothers, P. S. Garner, Jr., Pascagoula, MS, J. D. Garner (Jackie), Petal, MS, Denzil Garner (Cindy), New Augusta, MS; 13 grandchildren, Nancy Crager, Adam Williams, Mandy Pitts, Dwaine Lee, Rick Revette, Nicole Revette, Ashley Revette, Michelle Revette, Randy Taylor, Christie Harper, Justin Buford, Tanner Revette, Samuel Revette; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. McCarty will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 22, 2018 in the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Jason Merritt officiating. Interment will be in Gillis Cemetery in New Augusta, MS.
