Cecil "Cebo" Cox

Mr. Cecil "Cebo" Cox, 91, of Gilbertown, AL passed from this life Thursday, January 20, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Toxey, AL on Thursday, April 24, 1930 to Linard and Eva Cox. He worked in the oil field as a derrickhand. He was known for having the best gardens in the community and loved to share anything he grew. Mr. "Cebo" is preceded in death by his father, Linard Cox; mother, Eva Cox; four brothers, George Cox, Thomas Cox, J. E. Cox, Junior Jackson; sister, Eva Lee Waltman; grandson, Jonathan D. Brunner. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 66 years, Fay B. Cox of Gilbertown, AL; son, Tim Cox of Gilbertown, AL; three daughters, Ramona Brunner (Daniel) of Gilbertown, AL, Vickie Boney (Joe) of Prattville, AL, Shanan Cox (Ronny Wimberley) of Gilbertown, AL; brother, Earnest Jackson (Carolyn) of Toxey, AL; sister, Millie Lamb Flynn of Fairhope, AL; three grandchildren, Joey Boney (Charity), Candace Carlock (Colby), Corey Brunner (Laurel); five great grandchildren, Colby Ryan Carlock, Jr., Braxton Carlock, Sadie Boney, Tanner Boney, Harper Carlock; special friends, Mike Hutchinson, Jean Coody, Andy Anderson. Visitation for Mr. "Cebo" will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Gilbertown Assembly of God in Gilbertown, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Gilbertown Assembly of God in Gilbertown, AL with Rev. Douglas R. Chapman officiating. Interment will be in Gilbertown Cemetery in Gilbertown, AL. Pallbearers are Corey Brunner, Ronny Wimberley, Mike Hutchinson, Joey Boney, Randal Jackson, and Stephen Baughman. Honorary pallbearer is Colby Carlock.
