Bonnie Yvonne (Pitts) Cooley

Mrs. Bonnie Yvonne Cooley, 81, of Strengthford, MS passed from this life Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Waynesboro on Friday, October 13, 1939 to Earl Pitts, Sr. and Floye Pitts. She was a member of Crossroad Baptist Church.  She had worked as a Public School Teacher for 36 years. Mrs. Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband, Tommy H. Cooley; father, Earl Pitts, Sr.; mother, Floye Pitts; several brothers; several sisters; great grandchildren, Emma Jane Weafer, Alivia Love Weafer, Aliyah Hope Weafer. She is survived by her three sons, Tony Dale Cooley (Brenda), Joseph Earl Cooley (Lola), David Shawn Cooley, all of Strengthford, MS; two brothers, Earl Pitts (Sherlene), Robert Pitts, both of Waynesboro, MS; three sisters, Ann Lovelace (Gary), Waynesboro, MS, Bobbie Gail Williams, Waynesboro, MS, Joyce Vinson, Mobile, AL; four grandchildren, Ashlee Cooley, Beth Weafer, Sara Waller, Victoria Cooley; five great grandchildren, Ashleone Dubose, Eli Weafer, Ava Faith Weafer, Gracie Weafer, James Bridges Waller, IV. Visitation for Mrs. Yvonne will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Crossroad Baptist Church, Strengthford, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Crossroad Baptist Church with Rev. Daryl Lloyd, Rev. Ray Newsome, and Rev. Jeff Pitts officiating. Interment will be in Crossroad Cemetery. Pallbearers are Robert Maxie, Dennis Harrison, David Tiner, Kirkland West, Jay Waller, and Eli Weafer. Honorary Pallbearers are Leonard Langley, Robert Earl West, and James P. Weafer.
