Betty Jean Dearmon

Mrs. Betty Jean Dearmon, 71, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Washington County, AL on Friday, October 8, 1948 to Henry Hopkins and Estelle Hopkins. She was a member of Red Creek Church of God.  She had worked as a Manager at Family Dollar. Ms. Dearmon is preceded in death by her father, Henry Hopkins; mother, Estelle Hopkins; brother, Billy Hopkins; sister, Ann Pittman. She is survived by four sons, Roy G. Dearmon, Waynesboro, MS; Danny Dearmon (April), Buckatunna, MS; Donny Dearmon, Pensacola, FL, Troy Dearmon, Jr. (Sarah), Laurel, MS; daughter, Tammy Meaders (Bo), Hattiesburg, MS; three brothers, Wilmer Hopkins, J. C. Hopkins, Jim Hopkins, all of Buckatunna, MS; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Visitation for Ms. Dearmon will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Red Creek Church of God, Wayne County, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Red Creek Church of God with Rev. Steve Watts and Rev. I. D. Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Buckatunna Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
