Mrs. Artis Mae Lankford, 84, of Fruitdale, AL passed from this life Sunday, December 30, 2018 at her son's residence in Petal, MS. She was born in Greene County, MS on Wednesday, February 14, 1934 to Clarence Williams and Jamae Williams. She was a member of South Oak Grove Baptist Church. She worked as a Seamstress at the Blanket Factory. Mrs. Lankford is preceded in death by her husband, Leland Lankford; mother, Jamae Williams; father, Clarence Williams; brother, Troy Luke Williams; 2 sisters, Asalene Baggett, Shirley Brewer. She is survived by her son, Randy E. Williams (Sharon), Petal, MS; 3 brothers, Douglas Williams, Fruitdale, AL, Alton Williams (Gloria), Citronelle, AL, Bobby Williams (Liz), Jackson, AL; 5 Grandchildren, Ted Williams (Hanna), Waynesboro, MS, Andrea Green (Tim), Leakesville, MS, Mandy Sewell (Brendon), Hattiesburg, MS, Stephanie Collins (Cecil), Ocean Springs, MS, Jeff Deese (Heather), Bartlett, TN; 7 great grandchildren, Brody McNight, Shelby Sewell, Zoey Sewell, Maddox Sewell, Cecil Collins, III, Brayden Collins, Carter Deese. Visitation for Mrs. Lankford will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at South Oak Grove Baptist Church in Fruitdale, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at South Oak Grove Baptist Church in Fruitdale, AL with Rev. Buddy Jones officiating. Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery in Fruitdale, AL.
