Mr. Alton Gaines Richardson, Jr., 80, of Saraland, AL passed from this life Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Covenant Hospice Inpatient Care CTR Providence in Mobile, AL. He was born in Yellow Pine, AL on Sunday, September 26, 1937 to Alton Gaines Richardson, Sr. and Hersey Lee Wood Richardson. He retired as Co-Owner and Operator of Alabama Exterminator Company. Mr. Richardson is preceded in death by his mother, Hersey Lee Wood Lewis; father, Alton Gaines Richardson, Sr.; 2 sons, Charles Anthony Richardson, Matthew Gaines Richardson; grandson, Matthew Blake Richardson; special grandmother, Ada Wood; special aunt, Dorothy Wood; sister, Regina Lewis. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lipps Richardson of Saraland, AL; 6 brothers, Charles D. Lewis, Carlos G. Lewis, Lemoyne Lewis, Gregory Lewis, Mark D. Lewis, David C. Lewis. Visitation for Mr. Richardson will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Charles D. Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Providence Cemetery in State Line, MS.
