Mr. Albert Ray McCarty, 80, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, May 29, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Wayne County, MS on Sunday, September 3, 1939 to William Thomas "Willie" McCarty and Alma McCarty. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.  He had worked as a Logging Contractor. Mr. McCarty is preceded in death by father, William Thomas "Willie" McCarty; mother, Alma McCarty; brother, Ralph McCarty; 5 sisters, Ollie Mae Pitts, Alice Jones, Zola Walker, Zellowain Cooley, Jean Beasley. He is survived by his wife, Edna Fay McCarty, Waynesboro, MS; 2 sons, Jeffery McCarty (Rhonda), Clara, MS, Darrell McCarty (Dina), Pachuta, MS; 2 daughters, Virginia Scarbrough (Manuel), Waynesboro, MS, Sharon Moore (Tim), Waynesboro, MS; brother, James T. McCarty, Waynesboro, MS; sister, Eula Lee Singleton, Waynesboro, MS; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Graveside Services for Mr. McCarty will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Willie McCarty Family Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Matt Olson officiating. Interment will be in Willie McCarty Family Cemetery. Pallbearers are Thomas Moore, Chadd McCarty, Michael McCarty, Justin McCarty, Dalton Scarbrough, Nathan McCarty.
