Mrs. Vivian N. Smith, 90, of Florence, MS passed from this life Monday, April01, 2019 at Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, August 23, 1928 to George A. Palmer and Ethel B. Palmer. She was a Homemaker. She loved to read; following the writings of Evangelist Billy Graham was her passion. Mrs. Vivian is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil R. Smith, Sr.; father, George A. Palmer and mother, Ethel B. Palmer; son, C. R. Smith, Jr.; 4 brothers, G. A. Palmer, Jim Palmer, Cleo Palmer, Doyle Palmer; 3 sisters, Annette May, Eunice Bonner, Theda Mulvihill. She is survived by 2 daughters, Debbie Smith (Ricky), Florence, MS, Linda Smith (Craig), Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law and lifelong frind, Botsy Smith, Florence, MS; 4 grandchildren, Brian Smith (Michelle), Amy Bowen (Lucas), Melissa Romines (Ricky), Angela Hodges (Brad); 6 great grandchildren, Layla Bowen, Sydnie Smith, Hannah Romines, Ian Walker, Landon Walker, Kaitlyn Walker; and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Vivian will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Thursday, April 04, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM Thursday at Freeman Funeral Home Mr. Arthur Lee Nored and Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Interment will be Mt. Zion Cemetery.
