Mrs. Vivian B. Gordon, 86, a resident of Waynesboro, MS died Saturday, July 4, 2015 at her home. She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. She was born Monday, November 19, 1928 in Wayne County. Mrs. Gordon is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Gordon; father, James M. Britton and mother, Sadie M. Britton; daughters, Cecilia Stringer and Sadie Elizabeth Gordon. She is survived by daughters, Brenda Gordon, Waynesboro, Melissa Mason (Ronnie), Waynesboro; sons, George C. Gordon (Dianne), Waynesboro, James B. Gordon, Waynesboro; son-in-law, Buck Stringer, Bay Springs; Grandchildren, Archie Stringer, Kevin Stringer, Melanie Stringer Lewis, Gene'O Gordon, Brian Gordon, Diana Gordon, Ryan Mason, Meredith Mason, Miriam Mason; 14 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Visitation for Mrs. Gordon will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 6, 2015 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Roger Douglas and Rev. Rick Piggott officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
