Roy Rasmas Cartwright

Mr. Roy Rasmas Cartwright, 74, of Yellow Pine, AL passed from this life Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Yellow Pine, AL on Tuesday, February 15, 1944 to Chesley Leroy Cartwright and Nancy Thornton Cartwright. Mr. Cartwright served in the United State Marine Corps and was a Veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of Yellow Pine Baptist Church.  He retired as an electrician at Ciba Geigy. Mr. Cartwright is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Cartwright; father, Chesley Leroy Cartwright; 2 brothers, Rollon Cartwright, Jerry Cartwright; brother-in-law, Bud Dunn. He is survived by  his loving wife, Faye Cartwright, Yellow Pine, AL; son, Nelson Cartwright (Teresa), Myrick, MS; 2 daughters, Debbie Turner (Matt), Deer Park, AL, Jennifer Crager (Chris), State Line, MS; brother, Terry Cartwright, Deer Park, AL; 2 sisters, Diane Dunn, Copeland, AL, Linda Cartwright, Laton Hill, AL; sister-in-law, Carolyn Cartwright, Buckatunna, MS; special family friend, Ruby Rudd, Fruitdale, AL; 8 grandchildren, Daphne Hosford (Ryan), Jonathan Crager (Rose), Devin Cartwright, Brianna Crager, Celeste Blankinchip (Zack), Austin Cartwright (Amber), Tyler Dalrymple, Joseph Crager; 5 great grandchildren, Steven Hosford, Cheyenne Hosford, Jaydon McCarley, Jordan McCarley, Addison Crager; expecting 2 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Cartwright will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Yellow Pine Baptist Church in Yellow Pine, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Yellow Pine Baptist Church in Yellow Pine, AL with Rev. Wade Turner and Rev. Phillip Howard officiating. Interment will be in Yellow Pine Cemetery in Yellow Pine, AL.
