N. L. "George" Shoemaker, III

N. L. “George” Shoemaker, III, 68, a native of Clara, Mississippi and a resident of Meridian, MS. died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS.

George was preceded in death by his Father, Nathan L. Shoemaker, Jr. and his mother, Geraldine “Mike” Shoemaker.

He is survived by his sister, Melita Duncan (Billy), Salem, AL.; niece, Melody Poole (Chris), Salem, AL.; nephew, Jonathan Duncan (Katherine), Opelika, AL.

Great Nieces: Lydia Duncan, Lyla Poole, Evie Poole, and Amelia Duncan.

Great Nephews: Eli Duncan, Asher Poole, Silas Duncan, and Gideon Duncan.

George was a 1969 graduate of Clara High School. He worked for the Northern Blanket Factory and the Waynesboro Board of Education for several years. He was a member of the Clara First Baptist Church.

Visitation for Mr. Shoemaker will be from 12:30 – 1:30 PM, Wednesday, May 22 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, MS. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the White House Cemetery, Waynesboro, MS. with Pastor Billy F. Duncan officiating.
