Mrs. Mildred "Sister" Gardner Baygents, 91, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. She was born in Wayne County, MS on Monday, January 2, 1928 to Press Gardner and Aler McMichael Gardner. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Baygents is preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Baygents; father, Press Gardner; mother, Aler McMichael Gardner; daughter, Cynthia Baygents; brother, Dewney Gardner. She is survived by her son, Jamie Baygents (Nancy), Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Angela Baygents Boyd (Ben), Clara, MS; 4 brothers, Audie Gardner, Waynesboro, MS, Bud Gardner (Lynda), Oklahoma City, OK, Teet Gardner (Virginia), Laurel, MS, Bill Gardner (Bess), Waynesboro, MS; 4 sisters, Louise Landrum, Lucedale, MS, Ruby Greer, Aiken, SC, Tootsie Anderson, Oklahoma City, OK, Almeta Adams, San Antonio, TX; 4 grandchildren, Jeff, Denise, Bendan, and Baygen; 7 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Baygents will be held from 9:15 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Interment will be in Waynesboro Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
