Loretta Kittrell

Mrs. Loretta Kittrell, 83, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Saturday, August 18, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, July 25, 1935 to Russell P. Roan and Bertha Roan. She served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. She retired from the Kansas USD 244 School District as Secretary. Mrs. Loretta was a member of Lewis Chapel Southern Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Johnson, second husband, Vernon Kittrell; father, Russell P. Roan and mother, Bertha Roan; son, Russell Johnson; daughter, Vickie Johnson; brothers, Bill Roan, Gene Roan; sisters, Dorothea Roan, Betty Greene. She is survived by her son, Tracy Johnson (Sue), Clara, MS; 8 grandchildren, Sherri Johnson, T. J. Johnson, Samantha Johnson, Stacey McCaa, Chris Butters, Lacy Hollinger, Lee Kittrell, Shelley Kittrell; 9 Great Grandchildren and  7 Great-great Grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Loretta will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd Mills and Rev. Richard Roach officiating. Interment will be in Zion Rest Cemetery.
