Mrs. Helen Grace Cooley, 82, a native of Sharkey County, MS and resident of Oklahoma City, OK died Friday, September 26, 2014 in Oklahoma City, OK. Mrs. Cooley is preceded in death by her father, Willie Cooley; mother, Grace Cooley; 3 brothers, Raymond Cooley, Ralph Cooley, Alvin Cooley. She is survived by her husband, L. J. Cooley of Oklahoma City, OK; son, Johnny Lee Cooley (Connie) of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Judy Byfield Burch (Wayne) of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 grandchildren, Shane Cooley, Kristin Whitmore (Scott), Scott Byfield; 5 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Melvin Cooley (Pat) of Chicago, IL, Charles Cooley (Marisa) of Waynesboro, MS, Ken Cooley (Betty) of Brandon, MS, Mitchel Cooley (Tonya) of Waynesboro, MS; 3 sisters, Merle Powe (Walter) of Waynesboro, MS, Joyce Ainsworth (Jay) of Picayune, MS, Debbie Cooley of Huntsville, AL. Visitation for Mrs. Cooley will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2014 from the Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Kevin Cooley officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
