Eunice Upshaw Pitts

Mrs. Eunice Upshaw Pitts, 90, a resident of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Pine View Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, MS surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wayne County, MS on Wednesday, February 27, 1929 to Clement Lee Pugh and Jo Weena Reynolds Pugh. She was a member of Maynor Creek Church. She was retired from Ellis' Department Store in Waynesboro. Mrs. Pitts is preceded in death by her first husband, Coleman Upshaw; second husband, Tommie Pitts; father, Clement Lee Pugh; mother, Jo Weena Pugh; 2 brothers, Lemuel Pugh, Douglas Pugh; sister, Eleanor Pugh; daughter, Christine Thorn. She is survived by 2 daughters, Alice Webb (Lewis), Gloria Chapman (Terry) both of Prattville, AL; 2 sons, Phillip Upshaw (Kay) of Prattville, AL, Mark Upshaw (Karen) of Waynesboro, MS; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; special caretakers, Pine View Health and Rehabilitation Nurses and CNA's; special caregiver and family friend, Joann Chapman. Visitation for Mrs. Pitts will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mark Upshaw and Bro. Lewis Webb officiating. Interment will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Denham, MS.
