Mrs. Darlys B. Dees, 90, of Millry, AL passed from this life Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Washington County Nursing Home in Chatom, AL. She was born in Millry, AL on Saturday, January 21, 1928 to Joseph W. Blount and Linda Blount. She was a member of Millry Baptist Church. Mrs. Dees is preceded in death by her husband, James M. Dees; mother, Linda Blount; father, Joseph W. Blount; infant daughter, Angie Bell Dees; brother, Jolyn (Bully) Blount; 3 sisters, Ruby Pearl Norris, Furbur Guinn, Sarah Elizabeth Middleton. She is survived by 3 sons, Joseph Dees (Julie), James E. "Jimmy" Dees (Margie), Richard "Mark" Dees (Janie) all of Millry, AL; 5 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren. Graveside Service for Mrs. Dees will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Millry, AL with Rev. Billy Kendrick officiating. Interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Millry, AL. In lieu of donations may be made to Shady Grove Cemetery, 999 St. Stephens Avenue, Millry, AL 36558.
