He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, January 23, 1937 to Albert H. McCarty and Ruth McCarty. He worked as a self-employed labor contractor. Mr. McCarty is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth McCarty; father, Albert H. McCarty; 2 brothers, Aubra McCarty, Robert McCarty; 3 sisters, Emma Lee Lassiter, Lillian Collins, Wilma Ruth Boykin. He is survived by his wife, Elaine McCarty, Waynesboro, MS; son, Troy Allen McCarty, Waynesboro, MS; 2 daughters, Cheryl Tadlock, Morton, MS, Tracy L. Allbrooks (Rev. Charles), Waynesboro, MS; brother, Cecil McCarty, Laurel, MS; sister, Maudie V. Hartley, Millry, AL; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are: Robert Earl McCarty, Carlos McCarty, Joe Collins, Craig McCarty, Tillmon McCarty, and Carlos McCarty, Jr. Visitation for Mr. McCarty will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, May 11, 2018 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 12, 2018 in the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Charles Allbrooks officiating. Interment will be in Boykin Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
