Yvonne L. "Squeaky" Buckley

Yvonne L. "Squeaky" Buckley, 64, formerly of Waynesboro and a resident of Leakesville Rehabilitation, passed from this life Monday, March 9, 2020 at Wayne General Hospital. She was born in Norfolk, VA on Friday, May 27, 1955 to Ray Southerland and Agnes Southerland. Yvonne was best known in the community through the various positions and memberships she held. She was the General Manager of Hardees from the time they opened and for a number of years afterward. She received her nursing education at Ellisville State School where she became a CNA. She later worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Wayne General Hospital. Many years ago she also served a Volunteer Fireman for the Wayne County Fire Department.

    Yvonne is preceded in death by her father, Ray Southerland. She is survived by her mother, Agnes Southerland, Leakesville, MS; daughter, Misti Hoover (Stacy), Waynesboro, MS; brother, Michael Southerland (Kay), Daytona Beach, FL; sister, Patricia Walker (John), Waynesboro, MS; half-brother, Brian Southerland; several Nieces and Nephews. 

    Visitation for Yvonne will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Walker Family Cemetery on Jones Walker Loop Road with Rev. Rickey Williams officiating.
