Mrs. Willie Jean Sanderson, 76, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, March 29, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Waynesboro on Friday, November 10, 1944 to M. L. Palmer and Eretta Stevens Palmer. She was a member of Little Rock Assembly of God Church. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Sanderson is preceded in death by her father, M. L. Palmer; mother, Eretta Stevens Palmer; five brothers, L. M. Palmer, Jimmy Palmer, M. L. Palmer, Jr., Wayne Palmer, Bobby Palmer; six sisters, Chalmus Nicholson, Ameris Cooley, Maxine Cochran, May Joyce Dunnam, Katie Byrd, Linda Cooley. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James "Hubert" Sanderson, Waynesboro, MS, son, Phillip Sanderson, Saraland, AL; daughter, Sonya Walley (Bruce); brother, Jerry Palmer (Gloria), sister, Margaret Perry (Ray), all of Waynesboro, MS; five grandchildren, Lauren Sanderson, Faith Sanderson, Emma Grace Sanderson, Kaitlyn Walley, Caleb Walley. Visitation for Mrs. Sanderson will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Little Rock Assembly of God Church, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Little Rock Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jason Merritt, Rev. Bruce Walley, Rev. Steven Ray Perry, and Rev. Ryan Powers officiating. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery in Wayne County, MS. Pallbearers are Gregg Palmer, Brent Palmer, Tim Mills, Brad Nicholson, Roger Cooley, Kent Perry, Caleb Walley. Masks and social distancing are required of those in attendance of services.
