Mrs. Tanya L. Jordan, 47, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, August 5, 1971 to Clarence Lavell Jones and Dee Laine Griffin Jones. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She had a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and was a First-Grade Teacher at Beat Four School. Mrs. Jordan is preceded in death by her father, Lavell Jones; mother, Dee Laine Jones; brother, Gregory Scott Jones. She is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Daniel Jordan of Waynesboro, MS; 2 daughters, Hannah Jordan, Gentrey Jordan both Waynesboro, MS; step mother, Patricia Lathan of Tibbie, AL; 2 sisters, Christy Williams (Jason) of Chatom, AL, Janna Jenkins (Terry) of Daphne, AL; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Diana Jordan of Waynesboro, MS; brother-in-law, Brian Jordan (Kristin) of Quitman, MS; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Jordan will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Philip Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
