Mr. Samuel Allen McCarty, 52, of Waynesboro, MS passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro on Friday, February 28, 1969 to Aubra McCarty and Betty Jo Hutto McCarty. Samuel served 4 years in the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of the Gulf War, stationed in Oxfordshire, England. He was owner of Quickway Market. He was previous owner of Mississippi Fried Chicken in Waynesboro; he opened and operated Mississippi Fried in Quitman for a number of years.
Samuel is preceded in death by his father, Aubra McCarty and mother, Betty Jo McCarty; and brother, Gary McCarty. He is survived by his wife, Theresa McCarty, Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Chelsea Bedwell (Chase), Winchester, MS; two brothers, Carlos McCarty (Alice), Paul Byrd, Jr., both of Waynebsoro, MS; three sisters, Mary Burford (Archie), Angela Kendrick (Carl), and Paula Riley (Jim), all of Waynesboro, MS; a soon-to-be grandchild, Landree Bedwell; and several Nieces and Nephews.
The Visitation for Samuel will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Friday, April 16, 2021 at Little Rock Assembly of God Church, 17 Little Rock Road, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 16, 2021 at Little Rock Assembly of God Church in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Bruce Cooley officiating. Interment will be in Aubra McCarty Cemetery on Moley Wise Road, Waynesboro.
