Robert L. Greene, Sr.

Mr. Robert L. Greene, Sr., 84, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Wayne General Hospital. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Monday, March 23, 1936 to Percy Greene and Virgie Greene. He was a member of Zion Rest Baptist Church. Mr. Greene was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict and Operation Desert Storm. He served in the United States Army National Guard and was a member of the Buckatunna Masonic Lodge. He worked as a Millwright at Masonite Corporation. Mr. Greene is preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. Greene; father, Percy Greene; mother, Virgie Greene; daughter, Pamela Tackett; brother, Donald Ray Greene; grandchild, Bethany Brownlee. He is survived by four sons, Gregory Cleary, Buckatunna, MS, Todd Cleary (Pamela), Buckatunna, MS, Robert Lee Greene, Sibley, LA, Patrick Tackett (Caroline), Buckatunna, MS; five daughters, Priscilla Hutchinson, Buckatunna, MS, Susan Greene, Petal, MS, Robin Brownlee (Bentley), Richton, MS, Patricia Ferguson (Bruce), Petal, MS, Paula Jacobs, Killen, TX; brother, James Ander Greene (Martha), Waynesboro, MS; sister, Opal Arnold, Waynesboro, MS, Martha Lou Shirley, Mobile, AL; 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Greene will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Friday, July 24, 2020 at Zion Rest Baptist Church, Buckatunna, MS. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 24, 2020 at Zion Rest Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS with Rev. Mark Ferguson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Zion Rest Cemetery Fund or Disabled American Veterans Charity.
