Rev. Alton Carr, 79, a native and resident of Waynesboro died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro. He was employed as a minister and planerman. Rev. Carr is preceded in death by his son, Terry Carr. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Carr of Waynesboro; two sons, Curtis L. Carr, David Carr (Tommie), both of Waynesboro; four grandchildren, Jeremy Carr of California, Liz Carr, Christopher Carr, Andrew Carr, all of Waynesboro; six great grandchildren, Jayla Carr, Ryan Carr, Kay Kay Carr, Alex Carr, Andrew Carr, Christopher Carr. Visitation for Rev. Carr will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, August 31, 2012 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 01, 2012 from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Bobby Byrd officiating. Interment will be in West Shady Grove Cemetery, Wayne County, MS. Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro, MS is in charge of arrangements.
