Patricia Elese West

   Mrs. Patricia Elese West, 74, of Laurel, MS, passed from this life Monday, August 7, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Waynesboro, MS, on Saturday, February 19, 1949, to the late David W. “Bill” Mills and Helen Elese Mills. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Waynesboro, MS, and was baptized on September 15, 1974. 
   Anyone that knew Pat, knew that she had a great love for her family and for our Heavenly Father, his word the Bible and his son, Jesus Christ. She was known for putting everyone else’s needs above her own because she was a natural caregiver. She was our peacemaker, our counselor, and no one went uncared for as long as she was around. She was the glue that held everyone and everything together. Her gift in life was being a guardian, protector, keeper, and companion for us all. She also had a passion for sharing God’s word the Bible. As her last witness, she would want to leave us with one last scripture to meditate on at 2 Timothy 4:1-8.
   She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Helen Mills; brother, James W. Mills; two sisters, Gloria J. Hudson and Deborah A. Bunch; son in law, Louis A. DiSalvo, Jr. 
   She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald West; four daughters, Donna C. DiSalvo, Shelly R. Contestabile (Nick), Andrea N. Eddy (Jeff), Kerri E. West (Jackie); son, Donald M. West (Jessica); granddaughter, Lauren A. DiSalvo; three sisters, Billie J. Mathis, Linda O. Welch, and Sharon F. Roberts.
   A Memorial Service for Mrs. West will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 52 Magnolia Hill Rd, Waynesboro, MS on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Brother Eddie Brashier officiating.
