Norman Ray Waite

Mr. Norman Ray Waite, 69, of Millry, AL passed from this life Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Wednesday, June 2, 1954, to the late James Pearson Waite and Mamie Lee Waite. He was a member of Independent Community Church. He retired as a self-employed carpenter. Mr. Waite will always be remembered as a man that loved his family.   

   Mr. Waite is preceded in death by his parents, James Pearson Waite and Mamie Lee Waite; grandson, Jackson Lane Chadwick; Son-In-Law, Patrick Sellers, Grandson-In-Law, Trevor C. May; brother, James Lee Waite. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Kathy A. Waite; son, Jimmy Waite (Alisha), both of Millry, AL; three daughters, Christie Sellers, Waynesboro, MS, Norma Downing (Ken), Matasha Tate (Brian), both of Millry, AL; nine grandchildren, Paige, Leighanna, Trevor, Zach, Abby, JayB, Alley, Jackson, and Easton; five step grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Kelbie, Kelcie, and Olivia; 11 great grandchildren; two brothers, Truman Waite (Francis), Mike Waite (Kathy); four sisters, Ciddie Lee Jones (Paul), Joyce Koen (Rev. Jr.), Shirley Whigham, Edna Earl Beesley, all of Millry, AL.

   Visitation for Mr. Waite will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Friday, November 24, 2023, at Independent Community Church in Millry, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 24, 2023, at Independent Community Church in Millry, AL with Rev. Mark Guy and Rev. Jim Koen officiating. Interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Millry, AL. Pallbearers are Zach Chadwick, Trevor Sellers, JayB Tate, Jackson Waite, Easton Tate, Lewis Koen, and Randall Waite. Honorary Pallbearers are Johnny Waite, Stevie Waite, Lee Gardner, and Jackie Jones.
