Mrs. Nellie Ruth Stanley, 83, of Waynesboro, MS passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Waynesboro on Sunday, October 1, 1933 to Charles C. and Mamie C. Weaver. She was a member of Wayne Haven United Methodist Church and was a Housewife. Mrs. Stanley is preceded in death by her father, Charles C. Weaver and mother, Mamie C. Weaver; son, Kenneth Alan "Shorty" Stanley; son-in-law, Gerald L. "Curly" Williams; brothers, Basil Eugene "Shiney" Weaver and Charles Vernon "Hooks" Weaver; sister-in-law, Jan Gatlin; father-in-law, Nub Stanley and mother-in-law, Pansy Stanley. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Kenneth Stanley; sons, Keith Stanley (Tanya) and Kevan Stanley; daughter, Karen Williams; sister, Mary Doby; 8 grandchildren, Ben Williams, Claire Williams, Courtney Robertson, Brock Stanley, Erin Baxter, Beth Stanley, Mary Katherine Stanley, Faith Stanley; 10 great grandchildren, Marley Williams, Rowen Williams, Mallory Golden, Liam Seals, Hampton Baxter, Carter Cochran, Juliette Pacific, Cain Markevicius, William Robertson, Maeve Robertson; brothers-in-law, Larry Stanley (Barbara) and Ray Gatlin. Visitation for Mrs. Stanley will be held from 10 AM to 11:30 AM, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Wayne Haven United Methodist Church in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Wayne Haven United Methodist Church with Rev. Tom Walker and Rev. Ron Stanley officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Haven Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers, a memorial gift may be made to Wayne Academy or the church of your choice.
