Michael William "Bill" Flowers

Michael William “Bill” Flowers, 68, of Waynesboro, MS passed away on February 25, 2020, peacefully in his sleep.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon, February 29, 2020, at Waynesboro Presbyterian Church.  Visitation will be held at the church before the service beginning at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at Serenity Gardens in Waynesboro.

Bill was born in Laurel, MS on February 21, 1952. He graduated from Waynesboro Central High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry from Mississippi State University. He continued his professional career working in the timber industry beginning with Buffalo Wood, Longleaf Timber, and later forming his own company. He enjoyed watching sports on television especially MSU and Saints football!

Marrying Patricia Guffy on July 21, 1973, they had the blessing of 47 years of marriage.  Bill is survived by his loving wife, Pat and their two sons, Michael Andrew Flowers and James Eddy Flowers. He is also survived by sisters-in-law; Lee Guffy (Moe) Caver and Kay Guffy, a host of special cousins; Berne (Neda) Life, Bryan Life, Bob (Lisa) Life, Hal (Betsy) Maxwell, Tim (Dottie) Maxwell, and Bob (Kathy) Maxwell and special nephews; Read Caver, Ross Caver and Kyle Guffy.

Bill is proceeded in death by his parents, William Hilton and Bertie Louise Eddy Flowers and also a brother-in-law, James Benjamin Guffy.
