Louise Loper

Mrs. Louise Loper, 88, of Fairhope, AL passed from this life Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Fairhope Health & Rehab in Fairhope, AL. She was born in Fruitdale, AL on Thursday, February 13, 1936 to Walter Smith, Sr. and Maggie Jane Smith. She was a member of  Zion's Rest Missionary Baptist Church.  She worked as a homemaker. Mrs. Loper is preceded in death by her husband Elder Henry Malcolm Loper; father, Walter Smith, Sr.; mother, Maggie Jane Smith; brothers, Mack Chester Smith, Daniel Lee Smith, Raymond Carly Smith, Paul Clinton Smith, George Ray Smith; sisters, Betty Jane Whatley, Alice Virginia Simpson, and  Dorothy Janette Trimble. Mrs. Loper is survived by her son, Garry Malcolm Loper, Atlanta, GA,; sister, Bernice Hagan, State Line, MS; brother, Walter Smith, Jr. (Sally), Wilmer, AL, and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Loper will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, September 30, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Leland James Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Red Bank Cemetery in Washington County, AL.
