Mrs. Loma Sue Mixon Smith, 80, of Chatom, AL passed from this life Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at her residence in Chatom, AL. She was born in Pensacola, FL on Saturday, February 24, 1940 to Clara Petty. She was a member of Waynesboro Church of Christ.  She had worked as a Quality Control Technician at Packard-Hughes. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her late husband, Lee Page Mixon; mother, Clara Petty; brother, Robert I. Godwin. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Carley Smith, Chatom, AL; 2 sons, Clayton P. Mixon (Zita), Daphne, AL, Calvin D. Mixon (Pam), Bay Minette, AL; 2 step-sons, Ronnie Smith (Deb), Chatom, AL, Mark Smith (Kim), Waynesboro, MS; 3 step-daughters, Glenda Oates (Buck), Millry, AL, Brenda Oates (Mike), Millry, AL, Jennie Pippen (Adam), Laurel, MS; 2 brothers, Terry Godwin, Sr., Lovell, WY, Michael Petty (Carol), Perdue Hill, AL, sister, Sandra Myers, Grand Bay, AL; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Smith will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Seth Sullivan officiating. Graveside Services for Mrs. Smith will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, May 24, 2020 at Jubilee Memorial Gardens, 27896 SR-181, Daphne, AL. Interment will be in Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
