Mr. Lincoln Ellis Tate, 87, of Millry, AL passed from this life Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Millry, AL on Saturday, January 30, 1932 to Riley Lake Tate and Susie Ethel Miller Tate. He was a faithful member of Pine Tree Holiness Church. Mr. Tate served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1955. He retired from Ciba-Geigy Corporation in 1994 after working 32 years as a Maintenance Mechanic. During retirement he enjoyed going to stockyards, tending cows, raising bantam and game chickens, doing yard work, and spending time with his granddaughter. Mr. Tate is preceded in death by his father, Riley Lake Tate; mother, Susie Ethel Tate; daughter, Tammy Tate Biggs; 4 brothers, Lonnie Preston Tate, Larency Edgar Tate, Levi Tate, Lewis Tate; sister, Linnie Bradley. He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 60 years, Willie Mae Tate, Millry, AL; daughter, Amy Tate Jones (Brad), Millry, AL; 3 sisters, Lorene Dearmon, Leakesville, MS, Lola Mae Beasley, Millry, AL, Lottie Virginia Wells, Chatom, AL; granddaughter, Bethany Lauren Jones, Millry, AL. Visitation for Mr. Tate will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Pine Tree Holiness Church in Millry, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Pine Tree Holiness Church in Millry, AL with Rev. Steve Hankins and Rev. Larry Turner officiating. Interment will be in Pine Tree Cemetery in Millry, AL.
