Libby Dykes

Mrs. Libby Dykes, 78, of Waynesboro, MS died Sunday, August 16, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wayne County, MS on Tuesday, April 7, 1942 to Hosea Lindsey and Edna Lindsey McRae. She was a member of West Shady Grove Baptist Church. She had worked as a Clerk for the City of Waynesboro. Mrs. Libby is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Earl Dykes; father, Hosea Lindsey; mother, Edna Lindsey McRae; step-father, Johnny McRae; son, Randall Dykes; brother, Ellis Lindsey; friend, Don Tidwell. She is survived by her daughter, Annette Dykes, Daughter-In-Law, Debbie Dykes, sister, Sue Moseley (Richard), two grandchildren, Joshua Dykes (Courtney), Randalyn Dykes, all of Waynesboro, MS; great-grandchild, Asher Dykes; several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Libby will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Frankie Clark and Rev. Steve Smith officiating. Interment will be in West Shady Grove Cemetery in Wayne County, MS. Pallbearers are Troy Dykes, Jr., Steve Odom, Ty Sharp, Roy Lindsey, Buddy Langley, Emanuel Odom, and Lent Lindsey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Al Hailes and William Richardson.
