Laura Mae (Howse) Mashburn

Mrs. Laura Mae Mashburn, 96, of Chicora, MS passed from this life Monday, March 30, 2020 at her residence. She was born in Buckatunna, MS on Saturday, December 22, 1923 to J. E. Howse and Velma Grace Howse. She lived in Chicora for 75 years. She was a member of Buckatunna United Methodist Church. She loved gardening, crocheting, and quilting. Mrs. Mashburn is preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Cary "Jake" Mashburn; father, J. E. Howse; mother, Velma Grace Howse; daughter,Velma Eileen Mashburn; 3 brothers, James Walter Howse, Paul Howse, Daniel Henry Howse; 3 sisters, Eulalie Howse Jones, Edwina Howse, Mary Alice Mashburn. She is survived by 2 sons, Solomon Mashburn, Salt Point, NY, Jasper E. Mashburn, Chicora, MS; 4 daughters, Janice Mason (Charles), Chicora, MS, Bettie Bishop (John), Chicora, MS, Mary Pierce, Chicora, MS, Gloria Graham (Carl), Quitman, MS; 3 sisters, Betty Lou Edmond, Buckatunna, MS, Lola Grace Campbell, Buckatunna, MS, Sarah McCaffrey, Gulfport, MS; 11 Grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Arthur Bishop, Lance Beard, Kyle Sellers, Jefferson Sellers, Nathan Giles, Wraz Smith, Zander Mason.
