Judy Arlene Burgess

Mrs. Judy Arlene Burgess, 67, of Richton, MS passed from this life Monday, March 29, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Waynesboro on Saturday, July 18, 1953 to Henry Dailey and Betty Dailey. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.  She had worked as a Machine Operator at Wells Lamont. Mrs. Judy is preceded in death by her father, Henry Dailey; mother, Betty Dailey; grandson, Kody Edwards; three brothers, Luther Ray Dailey, Henry Gray Dailey, Jerry Wayne Dailey; sister, Annie Pearl Burnett. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Burgess, Richton, MS; son, John Wesley Burgess, St. Louis, MO; daughter, Wendy Edwards, two grandchildren, Trace Edwards, Audri Anna Edwards, all of Richton, MS; three brothers, John Dailey, David Dailey, Charlie Dailey, all of Buckatunna, MS; six sisters, Betty Holyfield, Buckatunna, MS, Stacey Davis, Wanda Golf, both of Clara, MS, Nora Crager, State Line, MS, Brenda Martin, Eucutta, MS, Byrdie Johnson, Salida, CO; several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Judy will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Chicora, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, April 2, 2021 at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Norman Nowell and Rev. Anthony O'Neal officiating. Interment will be in Dailey Cemetery in Chicora, MS.
